Rail projects improve quality of life and create jobs
I applaud the Federal Railroad Administration for awarding Missouri this grant to purchase new, made-in-America railcars, which will improve passenger service between our state's two major metro areas and all stops in-between.
This is an important step towards our ultimate goal of creating jobs and putting Missourians back to work planning, designing and building the rail lines of the future.

It will connect tens of thousands of homes in rural
Missouri to a network of vital community services like fire and police, schools and hospitals, libraries and government.
The competition for federal funds was steep. But our MoBroadbandNow partnership was a stunning success. More than
$260 million will be coming to Missouri, which in turn will generate tens of millions of dollars in new investment, and create thousands of new jobs.
