No-bid contracts encourage waste, fraud, corruption

Q: With more and more of the work of the federal government being done by outside contractors, what is the role of Congress in making sure the contracting process is competitive and transparent, and that resulting contracts are adequately monitored to assure efficient, effective use of governmental funds? A: Congress must not give up its responsibility to ensure contracts are competitively bid, disclosed and monitored. No bid contracts encourage waste, fraud, corruption and higher taxes for us all.
