• A presidential line item veto in an effort to rid the government of pork barrel spending;
• elimination of political action;
• legislation that would replace Gramm-Rudman with a tougher balanced-budget;
• elimination of exit polling during elections;
• enacting strict regulations on all lobbying activities.

Perot has stated in a rather straightforward fashion that he favors:
• Reduction of the size of the legislative and executive branch staffs;
• elimination of the government’s air fleet and other perks.
