State of Ohio secondary Archives: on Health Care

Eric Fingerhut: The prescription plan is deeply flawed and to be reworked

VOINOVICH: Voinovich said seniors are already receiving discounts of 30 percent or more and the program will improve in 2006 when it is fully implemented. At that point, low-income seniors will get a $600 voucher to help with their drug needs.

FINGERHUT: Fingerhut countered that the program is “deeply flawed” and needs to be dramatically reworked. He criticized Voinovich for voting against reimportation of drugs from Canada and allowing the government to negotiate prices with drugmakers.
