State of Mississippi secondary Archives: on Energy & Oil

Phil Bryant: Supports both conventional and unconventional energy sources

Mississippi is blessed with rich natural resources, including oil, natural gas, and lignite. We can build on the success of expansions at the Chevron Refinery, Denbury Resources' tertiary enhanced oil recovery, KiOR's conversion of agricultural waste into refinable oil and the Kemper County coal gasification plant. With smart, growth-centered policies, we can meet our rapidly growing energy demands from both conventional and unconventional energy sources and simultaneously ensure economic expansion.
