Don't just trade Mideast OPEC with China's Sinopec
We can't just talk about the Biden economy because the economy, energy and national security are all tied together. We're paying too much for energy right now. But part of the reason why is because the Biden policies on energy.We've got a plan right
now, the $1.2 trillion Green New Deal spending buried in the Inflation Creation Act [the Inflation Reduction Act -- ed.] is something that is just subsidizing China.
If we're going to stop buying oil from the Middle East and start buying batteries
from China, we're just trading OPEC for Sinopec. And then belatedly, the Biden administration put sanctions on Russian oil. Who's buying it? China.
So, if you buy a battery in this country, you buy a solar panel, it's being produced in a plant in
China powered by coal where it's being powered by oil and gas at 20 percent off. And every farmer in this county like to buy diesel at 20 percent off, just like they're buying it in China.

On Abortion:
10th Amendment says leave it to the states; no federal ban
I'm a pro-life governor of a very pro-life state. But I am on the record that we should not have a federal abortion ban. The reason why is very simple, it's the 10th Amendment in the Constitution. It says that there were certain duties allowed to the
federal government delegated to them by the states. The rest are left to the states or to the people. If we say that the Fed should be in on this one, where do we stop? I say that we follow the Constitution and this is returned to the states.

On Immigration:
Biden funded 87,000 people at IRS instead of Border Patrol
And we have to be strong, and we have to be strong both in Ukraine, and we can solve the Southern border. Absolutely, we can do that, because guess what? There's only 19,855 authorized people for the Border Patrol. But they're not all
staffed, because the Biden administration doesn't enforce law enforcement. But the Biden administration wanted to put 87,000 people in the IRS, as opposed to giving the money and the support we need to our own Border Patrol.

Small town values are the way to get country on track again
No one ever asks the question, "what about the crime wave in small towns?" Because in a small town, neighbors help neighbors. People understand each other. If a farmer gets sick, everybody comes together and helps him get the crop up.
There's accountability. There's transparency. One thing I think this country could use is somebody in the White House that understands small town values because that's our road back to get this country on track again.
