Merced: Allowed or Not Allowed, Abortions will happen unless you change incentives. I rather encourage people to stop donating to political organization and instead to charities to support women during pregnancy to help them choose life. Also investing money into technology to help remove a child safely from the womb earlier will help. These investments in technology and private charity will go much further than any political solution will in reducing the number of abortions and preserving life.
Q: Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which political philosophy best describes you?
Merced: Moderate

Merced: I'm 100% passionate Libertarian and you can see my record of talking about limited government in over 2000 videos on youtube.com/alexmerced,
Glenn: I am ardently pro-life and believe that life begins at conception. I recognize that the current state of our law has created exceptions for rape, incest, and in cases where the life of the mother is at risk.
Kustoff: Should not be allowed; no exceptions.
Q: Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which political philosophy best describes you?
Kustoff: Very Conservative
Bacon: I believe life starts at conception, and that we're all made in God's image and fearfully and wonderfully made. I do believe in the principle of "double effect" meaning that we should do everything possible to save the life of the mother and preborn child. Sometimes in an effort to save the mother the preborn child cannot be saved.
Trump: "I do not want to say that because I want to show unpredictability. You have to. You can't just go around and say that. But Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded. I mean if you look at what's going on with that, it's terrible. And many of the things should be defunded and many things should be cut."; "I would look at the individual things that they do and maybe some of the things are good," Trump said. "We have to take care of women. We have to absolutely take care of women. The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should not--absolutely should not--be funded."
Clinton: "I have seen excerpts from [the anti-Planned Parenthood videos]. And I have certainly read about them. And what I am troubled by are the misleading, inaccurate allegations about them that we heard from Republicans at their debate."
Ferguson: I believe that life beings at conception.
Gilbert: To save the mother's life and in cases of rape or incest.
Q: What in the nature of mankind caused America's Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Gilbert: Men tend to naturally consolidate power and then use/abuse it. The Constitution was designed to provide limits on such power and to provide the checks and balances that would keep one person or group from acquiring too much power.
Clinton: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is warning members of the U.S. House that she will personally urge pro-abortion President Barack Obama to veto a State Department funding bill over cuts to groups that perform and promote abortions. Clinton said, "I have seen excerpts from [the anti-Planned Parenthood videos]. And I have certainly read about them. And what I am troubled by are the misleading, inaccurate allegations about them that we heard from Republicans at their debate. This is really an attack on Planned Parenthood, which provides a lot of health services, from cancer screenings, to contraceptive services, to so many other of the needs women have."
Trump: "Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded. I mean if you look at what's going on with that, it's terrible. We have to take care of women. The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should not--absolutely should not--be funded."
Bergman: When the life of the mother is at risk based on her decision.
Comer: NEVER, unless it would somehow prevent the death of the mother.
Moran: I am, and always have been, pro-life. Life is precious and deserves our respect and protection. During my time in Congress, I have used my voice and vote to further the cause of life and defend the unborn. Science demonstrates that each human life begins at conception and I believe that the right to life guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution is vested in each human being. This right is sacred and must be defended. I support legislation protecting life at its earliest stages, and in response to the practices of convicted abortion provider Kermit Gosnell, I sponsor a ban on abortions performed after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Furthermore, I believe that taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund the end of innocent human life through elective abortion and have voted to prevent the use of public money for this practice.
Arrington: Only to save the life of the mother. I believe all human life is a gift from God and begins at conception and lasts until natural death. At all stages, our laws should be directed at protecting life.
Miller: I believe that every life deserves the protection of the government. Roe v. Wade is an example of judicial activism at its worst, running contrary to the Constitution's clear mandate to protect life. Rare instances may occur where we cannot save both the life of the mother and the child. In such cases, we should save the life we can.
Callahan: None. Abortion is murder. There are always other options to abortion.
Gaetz: I am 100% pro-life. We must fight to protect life at every step. Roe v. Wade was a terrible decision that has severely hurt our country. I am pro-life without exception.
Snow: I don't think politicians should be passing laws that interfere with the private medical decisions of women. Only a woman and her doctor can properly determine if and when an abortion is appropriate.
Dunn: In the very rare cases of rape and incest, and to protect the life of the mother.
Shelby: I am resolutely pro-life and believe that the Supreme Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade, in which it decided that abortion is a constitutional right, is terribly flawed on both a constitutional and moral basis. I believe that it is our ethical and moral duty to protect the dignity of human life, particularly when it comes to the lives of the most vulnerable members of the human race. I have consistently voted to prevent the use of any federal funds to perform abortions. I am also a cosponsor of S. 1553, the "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act." S. 1553 would prohibit abortions after 20 weeks with the exception of saving the mother's life or in the event of rape or incest.
Johnson: Abortions should be allowed in the case if rape and incest, or when the life of the mother is endangered
Davidson: I oppose abortion. I know that life begins at conception and seek to see that reflected in our Constitution. In all cases both lives matter.
Long: To save the life of the mother but an attempt should be made to save the life of the child as well.
Q: Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
Long: All of my statements and work for Americans United for Life
