Chuck Baldwin on Tax Reform

Constitution Party nominee for President; Reform Party nominee in several states

10% tax on all imports into the US, and no other tax

Baldwin would repeal the income tax, and in return implement a 10% tax on all imports into the US. In addition, Baldwin would drastically cut federal spending.

“Basically, the only difference between the Republicans and the Democrats today is that the Democrats want to tax and spend, and the Republicans want to borrow and spend,” Baldwin said. “But both of them want to spend. They spend like drunken sailors, except that’s an insult to sailors because at least sailors are spending their own money.”

End income tax, death tax, and property tax

Our economy should be designed to provide opportunities and freedom for the millions of average Americans across this great country, not to insure profits for international bankers and multinational corporations.

When I become President, I will work feverishly to overturn the Sixteenth Amendment, which would repeal the Income Tax. And, no, I would not promote a national sales tax. That would be disastrous! Can you imagine what a 30% sales tax would do to the cost of EVERYTHING? Plus, give politicians a national sales tax to increase and just imagine what kind of percent that would grow into!

I would also work to repeal the “death tax,” inheritance taxes, and property taxes. The American people are already paying somewhere between 30% and 40% of their income to Uncle Sam. It must stop. We are bankrupting our country with this incessant and burdensome tax system.

Repeal the 16th amendment; no income tax & no sales tax

McCain says he opposes taxes--yet votes to increase them. He has no plans to reduce anything in government. Hillbama would both increase taxes 100 times what they were cut (on everyone). Chuck would work to repeal the 16th amendment. He would not replace it with a national sales tax. And he would cut government massively by getting rid of such bureaucratic uselessness as the Department of Energy & Department of Education. He would only allow spending that the Constitution authorizes.
